russian translator job market

0 votes
Hi, I was wondering two questions actually.:

Is there a reliable source to learn russian as if you were teaching a child? I checked out russian eccelerator, but I am skeptical because of the cost of the top three courses. Does anyone know of any free youtube courses that essentailly do the same thing? ( and if not, what is your take on these courses)and question two: I have heard that being a translator in the medical field can be very good career since there are not many translaters per state. I was wondering if any of these courses could bring to me to point where I could do that job and become an independant help for russians who come here and dont have a translater? thanx for any and all information about this subject.

Hi Jetstine,

I think that probably the best way to learn Russian is to take private lessons via Skype. As for the courses on YouTube I would recommend:

1. Russian for Free;

2. RussianPlus;

3. Russian with Passion:

4. Conversational Russian;5. Russian WikiTranslate.

As for the Russian translation job market in your counrty, I think it would be better to sign up in Russian forums, Facebook, Linkedin and Vkontakte pages in your country.
