meaning of small part of sentence

"Пил их" i dont understand the meaning of this part of small sentence.It is a part from a russian novel.

Hi Userofrussia,

"Пил их": he was drinking them, he drank them.

"Пил": the Past tense, masculine, comes from the infinitive "пить".

"Их": Accusative case of "они".
