Hello, Dakota! :)

Turn on = включить (sometimes it is written ВКЛ.)

turn off= выключить (ВЫКЛ.)

If you ask someone to turn on the TV, you say, (imperative mood) ---> Включи телевизор or, more kindly "Ты не включишь телевизор" "Включи пожалуйста телевизор"

The same way "Выключи....." = turn off

BTW TV is often called "те'лик" "ящик" (slang)

hand me the remote = передай мне пульт

What other phrases would you like to know?
