I'm looking for examples of unusual Russian sentences that are grammatically correct.

A good example in English is "That that exists exists in that that that that exists exists in." Yes, this sentence is weird but grammatically correct in English. It means "X exists in that that X exists in." (if you replace "That that exists" with X)

Is there something equally peculiar in Russian?

Косил косой косой Косой косой косой.

This sentence means "A drunken cross-eyed hare mowed with a curved scythe." (Cкашивал пьяный косоглазый заяц кривой косой.) Here's a word-by-word explanation.

  1. Коси́л: the verb "косить" (to mow) in the Past Tense
  2. косо́й: slang for "пьяный" (drunken)
  3. косо́й: colloquial term for "косоглазый" (cross-eyed)
  4. Косо́й: a name for a hare in Russian fairy tales; same as "заяц" (a hare)
  5. косо́й: the adjective "косой" (crooked, uneven)
  6. косо́й: the noun "коса" (scythe) in the Instrumental case

It's possible to rearrange the words in this sentence and keep the meaning. The word order is not that important because of the cases in Russian.
